The 2027 Maserati Grecale is getting a notable update with a new base model and improved electric range. The luxury SUV also receives design changes, interior upgrades and a revised lineup.

What Changed in the 2027 Maserati Grecale
Maserati has refreshed the Grecale for the 2027 model year with updates inside and outside. The front fascia has been revised, giving the SUV a cleaner and more modern look.
Inside, the Grecale adds a new steering wheel, a different gear selector and updated trim options. Maserati is also adding new colors, wheel designs and personalization choices.
The changes are not a complete redesign. However, they help keep the Grecale more competitive in the luxury SUV market.
A New V6 Base Model Joins the Lineup
One of the biggest changes is the arrival of a new base trim. This version replaces the previous lower-entry positioning and uses a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine.
According to the information available, the new base Grecale produces 385 horsepower. That is the same output listed for the Modena V6 version.
The gasoline lineup now includes the base Grecale, Modena and Trofeo. The Trofeo remains the performance-focused option, with 523 horsepower.
Pricing for the 2027 Grecale starts at $79,895 in the United States. The Modena starts at $86,495, while the Trofeo starts at $117,495.
The Grecale Folgore Gets More Electric Range
The electric Grecale Folgore also receives an important improvement. Its estimated driving range increases to 274 miles with 20-inch wheels.
With 21-inch wheels, the estimate is 272 miles. That is a useful improvement over the previous 245-mile estimate for the 2026 model.
The improvement comes from new tires and a revised energy management algorithm. Maserati’s official U.S. information also lists a 105-kWh battery, 400V architecture and up to 150 kW DC fast charging.
The Folgore continues to be the electric version of the Grecale. It is aimed at buyers who want a luxury SUV with performance and zero-emission driving.
Why This Matters for Buyers
The new base V6 model could make the Grecale more attractive to buyers who want Maserati performance at a lower starting price. It also gives the SUV a stronger entry point than before.
For electric SUV shoppers, the Folgore’s added range helps address one of the most important concerns in the segment. More range makes the vehicle easier to use for longer trips and daily driving.
Still, official pricing for the 2027 Grecale Folgore has not been confirmed yet. Buyers interested in the electric version should wait for final market details.
The Bigger Picture
Maserati is updating the Grecale during an important period for the brand. Parent company Stellantis has said it wants to strengthen Maserati as a pure luxury brand.
The Grecale is especially important because SUVs remain a key part of the global luxury market. With gasoline and electric versions, Maserati can reach different types of buyers.
The refreshed 2027 Grecale is expected to reach U.S. dealerships later in 2026. If the updates translate into better value and stronger range, the SUV could become a more relevant option against rivals from Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and other premium brands.
