Alfa Romeo has announced a broad update to its European vehicle lineup, introducing new technology, interior materials, wheel designs and customization options across four of its most important models.

The company confirmed the changes on October 6, 2026.
The updates affect the Junior, Tonale, Giulia and Stelvio, with Alfa Romeo focusing on giving customers more choices while preserving the styling and driving characteristics associated with each model.
Rather than introducing completely new generations, the company is refining its existing lineup.
Alfa Romeo Junior Gets a New Interior
Some of the most noticeable changes come to the Junior.
Alfa Romeo has redesigned its door panels with softer materials, contrast stitching and updated finishes.
New seats and dashboard materials are also available.
Entry-level Junior and Sprint versions receive what Alfa Romeo calls the Icona interior.
It combines premium black fabric seats with contrasting grey stitching and the Biscione logo on the backrest.
Ti and Veloce versions receive the new Carbon interior.
This uses black upholstery with red accents and new Microcloud material across several interior surfaces.
Customers can also select a sportier Sabelt Alcantara interior.
More Equipment for Junior Sprint and Ti
Equipment levels have also changed.
The Junior Sprint now includes navigation, keyless entry and Adaptive Cruise Control.
Rear-view cameras, parking sensors, wireless smartphone charging and Blind Spot Monitoring are also included.
The Ti trim moves further toward comfort and luxury.
It adds heated front seats and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat.
The driver’s seat includes electric lumbar adjustment and massage functionality.
Multicolor ambient lighting and additional exterior styling details help separate the Ti visually from lower grades.
Junior Veloce Keeps 280 HP
Performance remains a major part of the Junior lineup.
The Veloce continues as the most powerful version.
Its electric drivetrain produces 280 horsepower, or 207 kW.
The Veloce also receives a lowered suspension, Alcon performance brakes and a Torsen limited-slip differential.
Anti-roll bars receive dedicated tuning.
Exterior equipment includes 20-inch wheels, a two-tone paint finish and red brake calipers.
For 2027, Alfa Romeo is also introducing new 19-inch wheel designs across the broader Junior lineup.
Electric, Hybrid and AWD Options Continue
The Junior continues to offer one of the widest selections of powertrains in its segment.
Customers can choose a 156-hp fully electric version.
A 145-hp 1.2-liter hybrid with front-wheel drive is also available.
The same hybrid output can be combined with Q4 all-wheel drive.
The electric Veloce remains the performance flagship at 280 hp.
Alfa Romeo says this multi-powertrain strategy allows buyers to choose between electrification and conventional hybrid technology without leaving the Junior range.
Tonale Also Receives More Choices
The larger Tonale receives its own updates.
Alfa Romeo continues to offer the SUV in Tonale, Sprint, Ti and Veloce versions, along with the more exclusive Edizione Luna Rossa.
Standard equipment includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument display and a 10.25-inch Alfa Connect infotainment system.
The Sprint adds gloss-black exterior styling and 18-inch wheels.
The Ti moves toward luxury with black or red leather interiors, heated and ventilated seats and a heated steering wheel.
The sportier Veloce features 19-inch wheels, Matrix LED headlights and red Brembo brake calipers.
It also receives Alfa Romeo’s Dual Stage Valve electronic suspension.
Tonale Still Offers Hybrid, Diesel and PHEV Power
The European Tonale powertrain lineup remains broad.
A 1.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid produces 175 hp and works with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
A 1.6-liter diesel produces 130 hp.
At the top of the electrified range, the Q4 plug-in hybrid delivers 270 hp and all-wheel drive.
Alfa Romeo is therefore continuing a multi-energy strategy rather than moving exclusively toward EVs.
The exact engine selection will vary depending on market regulations and demand.
Giulia and Stelvio Receive Technology Updates
The Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV are also being updated.
Both vehicles now include a driver-monitoring camera installed in the A-pillar.
The system is part of updates designed to meet current European safety regulations.
New software is also included.
The vehicles retain a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and an 8.8-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Adaptive Cruise Control, wireless smartphone charging and additional driver-assistance features are also available.
Exterior changes are more subtle.
Both vehicles receive updated black-and-white Alfa Romeo badges.
A new Anodized Blue exterior color has also been added.
Quadrifoglio Keeps the 520-HP V6
Enthusiasts will be happy to know that Alfa Romeo has not removed its famous V6 from the top versions.
The Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio continue to use the 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 producing 520 horsepower.
The Giulia uses rear-wheel drive.
The Stelvio combines the same engine with Q4 all-wheel drive.
The Stelvio Quadrifoglio now receives 21-inch wheels as standard, replacing the previous 20-inch design.
Both models retain technologies including electronically controlled suspension and a mechanical limited-slip differential.
Alfa Chassis Domain Control continues to coordinate several of the vehicle’s performance systems.
Gasoline and Diesel Engines Remain Available
Alfa Romeo is also keeping combustion-powered versions of the Giulia and Stelvio.
European markets retain 2.2-liter turbo-diesel engines producing either 160 hp or 210 hp.
The 160-hp version uses rear-wheel drive.
The more powerful 210-hp diesel uses Q4 all-wheel drive.
In the United Kingdom and selected additional markets, Alfa Romeo continues to offer a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing 280 hp.
That engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Luna Rossa Editions Continue
The Edizione Luna Rossa special versions remain part of the range.
These models are inspired by Alfa Romeo’s partnership with the Luna Rossa sailing team.
The special editions use distinctive exterior graphics, unique logos and upgraded interiors.
Selected versions feature ECONYL material made partly using recycled nylon from recovered fishing nets.
The Giulia and Stelvio editions also include Harman Kardon audio systems and electronically controlled suspension.
Junior and Tonale Luna Rossa versions receive their own unique wheel designs and interior treatments.
Alfa Romeo Focuses on Personalization
The central theme of the 2027 update is customization.
Rather than radically redesigning every vehicle, Alfa Romeo is expanding the number of combinations customers can choose from.
That includes different wheel sizes, materials, colors, trim levels and powertrain options.
The Junior alone offers seven different wheel designs ranging from 17 to 20 inches.
The Tonale can be configured with as many as ten exterior colors and several interior treatments.
This approach reflects a broader shift among premium manufacturers toward offering greater personalization.
Familiar Cars With More Choice
The 2027 changes do not completely reinvent Alfa Romeo’s lineup.
Instead, they focus on keeping the existing vehicles competitive.
The Junior receives some of the largest changes, especially inside.
Tonale continues to offer a wide selection of electrified and combustion-powered configurations.
Meanwhile, Giulia and Stelvio retain their traditional rear-wheel-drive performance characteristics and powerful Quadrifoglio variants.
For Alfa Romeo customers, that means the brand’s familiar models remain available while receiving updated safety technology, equipment and personalization.
The changes may be evolutionary rather than revolutionary, but they ensure Alfa Romeo enters the next model year with a broader and more flexible lineup.
